In just two steps you can upgrade your ubuntu 9.10 to ubuntu 10.04 beta. Press Alt+F2 to bring up the command box and type in update-manager -d. Update manager will pop-up asking you if you want to upgrade your system to ubuntu 10.04. Simple and humble.
